SINGAPORE - The highly anticipated Kam's Roast, a spin-off from the one-Michelin-starred Kam's Roast Goose in Hong Kong, will open at Pacific Plaza on Nov 19 at 1pm - but without goose on the menu.
The man behind Kam's Roast here is Singapore-born television producer Robert Chua, 70, who tells The Straits Times that he is still looking for a reliable goose supplier. In previous interviews, he had said that he would serve duck if he could not get good-quality goose.
Expect the menu to have roast duck, suckling pig, "toro" char siu made with premium pork belly as well as wonton noodles - with the noodles flown in daily from Hong Kong.

This is the brand's first overseas outlet. It will be located next to Michelin-starred ramen restaurant Tsuta in the Scotts Road mall.

In Hong Kong, Kam's Roast Goose earned its Michelin star within four months of opening in 2014. It was started by Mr Hardy Kam, a grandson of the late Mr Kam Shui Fai, who founded the Hong Kong roast goose institution Yung Kee in 1942.
He left Yung Kee after a lengthy legal spat between his father Kinsen Kam and uncle Ronald Kam ended with his uncle gaining control of the restaurant in Central, Hong Kong.
